I escaped NZ's Winter the other week for the tropical climate of Bali. Who doesn't love spending as much time as possible in the warmth! The only downside is the 30 degree weather in Bali is extremely humid and not ideal for wearing much makeup. I always keep things minimal on holiday anyway but here is a simple look you can re create on your own holiday. It would even be perfect for those active wear coffee dates in the weekends too.

BB Cream - I use the Garnier Oil Free BB Creams in Light and Medium, I mix them to get the perfect colour. This BB cream is an old fave of mine and is perfect for giving a sheer coverage. There are a huge range of BB Creams on the market, they are a good option as they tend to be much less heavy than foundations.

Stick Blush - I'm picking these are going to be the next big thing for summer considering nearly every brand has recently brought their version out. Stick blushers give you that fresh, dewy looking skin with a pop of colour. The great thing about stick blush is you can wear it on naked skin - no need for a foundation or BB Cream base like with a powder blush. They can also be used on the lips for a sheer lip colour. I've used Bobbi Brown Sheer Colour Cheek Tint in Sheer Lilac* on my cheeks and Estee Lauder Genuine Glow Blushing Creme for Lips and Cheeks in Sweet Cheeks on my lips.

Cream Eyeshadow - I used the Bobbi Brown Cream Eyeshadow in Stonewash Pink* for this look just on it's own. I often use cream shadows as a base for my eyeshadows as they tend to be crease proof and waterproof too. My other 2 faves are the MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pots in Groundwork and Sublime Nature.

Brows - I've used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow pomade in Dark Brown as it's waterproof and doesn't budge all day. This is another one of those dual purpose products, I also used it as an eyeliner along my top lash line.

Highlight - To continue with the cream theme I used the new Estee Lauder Genuine Glow Eyelighting Creme for Eyes and Face in Gleam Glow** along my cheekbones, cupids bow, tip of my nose and the inner corners of my eyes. Once again because this is a liquid illumiator it can be used without a foundation or BB Cream underneath.

Mascara - I have to say Maybelline has created a winner with their new mascara "The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara". The brush is amazing and makes it easy to get right up under the base of the lashes to help push lashes up, giving the illusion of bigger lashes. This one is extremely waterproof too (the waterproof version of course).
