I went to Australia recently and realised that when I'm on holiday I prefer to wear the bare minimum when it comes to makeup. Also, makeup is heavy and I would prefer to save space in my luggage for more important things...like shopping and new makeup purchases ha ha. Bearing in mind it was still 29 degrees in Byron Bay at Easter so it was never going to be ideal makeup wearing conditions anyway!
Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer - mini size
This primer is the best for promoting longevity of whatever you put on top of it. On a daily basis I wouldn't use this under my BB cream but it works a treat in hot weather.
Garnier Oil Free BB Cream
I love this stuff. I've been buying it for a few years now and it's still my go-to for a natural base. It has a decent amount of coverage but still feels like you have nothing on your face. I actually use both the Light and Medium shades and mix them to get my perfect colour. Another plus is the risk free, plastic tube packaging.
Cover FX Mineral Powder
I actually don't rate this powder very highly. I purchased it off Shaaanxo's recommendation and I feel like it's too powdery. I prefer the MAC Mineralize Skin Finish but this is what I have at the moment so might as well use it up.
Blac Cosmetics Highlighter
I am loving this product at the moment! It gives a beautiful highlight with golden undertones. It's a nice change from my MAC Soft & Gentle which is more pinky, plus the packaging is more compact. The texture of the powder is buttery and a little goes a long way. It's also a NZ owned company too.
Bobbi Brown Blush in Pale Pink
Obviously. It's the best.
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer
Apart from the fact that it smells like chocolate, this matte bronzer is the perfect shade for warming up the complexion and adding a light contour.
MAC Paint Pot in Groundwork
The perfect brown cream eyeshadow. It's waterproof and doesn't crease like some of the other Paint Pot colours. You can literally swipe this on with your finger and your good to go.
Joey Healy Brow Powder in Corduroy
Love this brow powder! The colour is not overly dark and being a powder you get a much more soft look as opposed to a pencil or pomade. Another plus is that it's waterproof!
BEST WATERPROOF MASCARA EVER. I legit swam every day with it on and not even a speck of black smeared on my face. But unlike other waterproof mascaras, which dry like rock on your lashes, the Dior one still seemed gentle and it comes off with steam and warm water in the shower.
Any lip gloss/ lipstick would do here, I guess when you look at the rest of the products they all create an overall natural makeup look so I felt a gloss was more appropriate to finish it all off.
Ok so now that I have written it all down it feels like a lot of things ha ha. I think I covered every area of the face though with the bare minimum of products. I hope you find this helpful when your packing for your next trip away!
